Sporobolus tetragonus Bor (Poaceae: Chloridoideae) is reported here as an addition to the flora of South India from the Eastern Ghats (Kinnerasani Wildlife Sanctuary) of Telangana, after fifty years of its last collection from Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand. A detailed description with photographs is provided to facilitate easy identification.
