Abstract

J. D. Hooker esta blished the taxon Leucas marrubioides uar. pulneyensrs. This name was considered as a synonym of Leucas angularis Wallich ex Benth. by Gamble, Mukerjee and Singh. A study of the types of Leucas marrubioides Desf., leucas marrubioides var. pulneyensis Hook. f. and Leucas angularis Wallich ex Benth., collection of fresh specimens and consultation of different herbaria helped us to reinstate the taxon Leucas marrubioides var. pulneyensls.
