Rheedea
Rheedea publishes high-quality original research articles, short communications, reviews, and book reviews that advance knowledge in plant taxonomy and systematics, with particular emphasis on the flora of the Indian subcontinent and tropical regions.
The journal covers studies on
- Plant taxonomy and systematics, including classification, identification, revisionary works, monographs, and taxonomic novelties such as new species, new combinations, and new records (excluding state records).
- Floristic surveys and vegetation studies documenting plant diversity, regional checklists, endemism, and threatened species
- Phytogeography and biogeography addressing plant distribution, migration, dispersal, and evolutionary patterns.
- Plant morphology, anatomy, cytology, palynology, and micromorphology relevant to systematics.
- Conservation and ecological studies of plant communities and ecosystems.
- Molecular taxonomy and phylogenetics using DNA-based approaches for evolutionary and species delimitation studies, and
- Nomenclatural contributions including typification and discussions on the International Code of Nomenclature (ICN).
The journal also publishes review and perspective articles on emerging trends in plant sciences, obituaries honoring eminent botanists, and critical reviews of recent books related to plant taxonomy, systematics, conservation, and allied fields.
