Change in official contact email address

2026-06-20

Dear Authors, Reviewers, and Readers,

As you may already be aware, Rheedea was migrated to a new Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform in February 2026. Every effort has been made to transfer user accounts and manuscript records from the previous website to the new platform, including submissions that are active or currently under review.

As part of this transition, our official contact email address has also changed. All communications regarding manuscript submissions, reviews, and editorial matters should now be directed to info@rheedea.in.

Please note that communications sent to the former email address of the Executive Editor may not be monitored regularly and could result in delays in correspondence.

Rheedea

Rheedea publishes high-quality original research articles, short communications, reviews, and book reviews that advance knowledge in plant taxonomy and systematics, with particular emphasis on the flora of the Indian subcontinent and tropical regions.

The journal covers studies on

  • Plant taxonomy and systematics, including classification, identification, revisionary works, monographs, and taxonomic novelties such as new species, new combinations, and new records (excluding state records).
  • Floristic surveys and vegetation studies documenting plant diversity, regional checklists, endemism, and threatened species
  • Phytogeography and biogeography addressing plant distribution, migration, dispersal, and evolutionary patterns.
  • Plant morphology, anatomy, cytology, palynology, and micromorphology relevant to systematics.
  • Conservation and ecological studies of plant communities and ecosystems.
  • Molecular taxonomy and phylogenetics using DNA-based approaches for evolutionary and species delimitation studies, and
  • Nomenclatural contributions including typification and discussions on the International Code of Nomenclature (ICN).

The journal also publishes review and perspective articles on emerging trends in plant sciences, obituaries honouring eminent botanists, and critical reviews of recent books related to plant taxonomy, systematics, conservation, and allied fields.
