Open Access Policy

Rheedea, the official journal of the Indian Association for Angiosperm Taxonomy (IAAT), is committed to disseminating high-quality scientific research to a global audience. This Open Access Policy reflects our dedication to making research accessible, promoting scientific advancement, and fostering knowledge sharing in the field of plant taxonomy and related disciplines.

All articles published in Rheedea are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), allowing users to copy, distribute, and adapt the work, provided proper attribution is given to the original authors and source.

To support the open access model, Rheedea may levy a nominal Article Processing Charge (APC). However, the journal is committed to affordability and equity:

  • Waivers and Discounts: APC waivers or discounts may be provided to authors from low-income or lower-middle-income countries, as defined by the World Bank.
  • IAAT Members: Special APC rates may be available for active IAAT members.

Rheedea’s Open Access Policy aligns with the mandates of major funding agencies worldwide, ensuring compliance with open access requirements and maximizing the dissemination of funded research.

The Open Access Policy of Rheedea is subject to periodic review to incorporate feedback, align with evolving best practices, and address emerging trends in open access publishing. Updates will be communicated to stakeholders promptly.
