Ownership of Copyright
Upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication, the copyright of the article is transferred to Rheedea, the journal of the Indian Association for Angiosperm Taxonomy (IAAT). This transfer allows Rheedea to hold the exclusive rights to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the article in any form or medium, including print, digital, and online formats.
Author Rights
Although Rheedea retains the copyright, authors have the following rights:
- The right to share the preprint (before peer review) or postprint (after peer review but before final formatting) versions of their article on personal websites, institutional repositories, or other academic platforms, provided the final published version in Rheedea is properly cited.
- The right to reuse their article in future works, such as books or presentations, provided the final publication in Rheedea is acknowledged.
Open Access
Rheedea is an open-access journal. All published articles are freely accessible to the public under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial License (CC BY-NC 4.0). This permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction of the work for non-commercial purposes, provided the original work is properly cited and is not used for commercial gain.
Permissions and Third-Party Use
For any reproduction or distribution of the published article for commercial purposes, or to create derivative works, third-party users must obtain written permission from Rheedea. Requests should be directed to [executiveeditor@rheedea.in]. Rheedea reserves the right to approve or deny any such requests.
Plagiarism and Ethical Standards
All submitted manuscripts must be original and unpublished, and they must not be under review elsewhere. The authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of their work. Plagiarism or ethical violations will result in the rejection or retraction of the article.
