Abstract

Atriplex suberecta I.Verd. (Amaranthaceae s.l., Chenopodioideae) is native to southern Australia and alien but naturalized in warm temperate and subtropical regions of the world. In North Africa, the plant has been long established in Morocco, with recent findings in Algeria. Here we report numerous documented findings of A. suberecta from the Mediterranean part of the country, with a detailed morphological description, ecological characteristics, and composition of the alien Atriplex in Tunisia.
