Abstract

A new species, Bupleurum gansuense, from Yuzhong County of Gansu Province of northwestern China, is described and figured, and compared with the most similar B. microcephalum Diels and B. marginatum Wall. ex DC. var. stenophyllum (Wolff) Shan et Y. Li. Besides a key is given for discriminating the four most closely related taxa of the genus.
