Abstract

Mu-kelengu of Tab. 51 of Volume 8 of Van Rheede's Hortus Malabaricus is identified as Dioscorea esculenta (Lour.) Burkill. Latin text pertaining to this species is rendered in English. Its interpretation, annotations and original illustration are provided.
