Abstract

Garnotia courtallensis (Arn. & Nees) Thwaites (Poaceae) collected from Pune district, Maharashtra is the first report of this species for State. Lax panicle, few spreading spikelets in each fascicle distinguish this species from the closely allied G. tenella (Arn. ex Miq.) Janowski.
